President of Turkmenistan took part in informal summit of CIS leaders in Kazakhstan19.12.2009 23:45
WORLD NEWS, 19 December - IP "TURKMENinform". Having returned from Japan, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov left with a two-day visit for Kazakhstan where he took part in informal summit of CIS countries leaders - Turkmenistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia and Bielorussia - that met under Almaty to discuss the problems of regional security and creation of uniform economic space.
The main topic of the summit was Euro-Asian approaching and development of corresponging agreements to gain the maximum effectiveness of economic cooperation between the CIS states. Presidents signed the work schedule which specifies the concrete terms of elaborating the agreements - they should be accepted till the 1st of June, 2011 and come into effect on the 1st of January, 2012.
