ASHKHABAT, 16 December - IP "TURKMENinform". This morning President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov went to Tokyo with a three-day official visit invited by Japan's Emperor Akihito to discuss perspectives and directions of expanding Turkmen-Japanese cooperation that is to be especially livened next years in the field of fuel-energy complex and road transport infrastructure. Turkmenistan holds an interest in buying Japanese technologies of oil and gas exploration and road building.

During the visit, the Turkmen-Japanese Economic Cooperation Committee will conduct its 8th sitting aiming at elaboration of concrete activities on enhancement of bilateral mutually advantageous cooperation.
