A large batch of drugs burnt under Ashkhabad25.12.2009 23:18ASHKHABAT, 25 December - IP "TURKMENinform". 1,279 kilograms of drugs confiscated by law enforcement officers were burnt on December 24 in Kasamly Julge settlement near Ashkhabad. The action on "poison execution" was organized by the Turkmenistan's government, the State Coordination Commission on Drugs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and the State Service on Drugs in presence of law enforcement officers, public organizations representatives, officials of embassies accredited in Turkmenistan, and journalists. Drugs packed in bundles and bags were burnt in specially constructed furnaces.
