ASHKHABAT, 20 January - IP "TURKMENinform". On January 19 President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov received First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov who arrived in Ashkhabad leading a representative delegation of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan.

During the conversation Turkmen leader and the guest exchanged opinions on perspectives and directions of the further development of Turkmen-Russian cooperation and regarded dialogue at the level of international and regional organizations. The activity of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russia commission for economic cooperation was noted among the most significant points of the agenda, and fuel-energy sector, transportation, agricultural sector, culture and education were named the most promising fields for bilateral cooperation. The parties also expressed confidence that opening the trading houses in Moscow and Ashgabat would especially impulse and strengthen the trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Russia.
