DASHOGUZ VELAYAT, 11 February - IP "TURKMENinform". On February 9, before departing to the United Arab Emirates, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov took part in the ceremony of unveiling of a new cotton spinning mill that was put into operation in Dashoguz city.

Earlier that morning Turkmen leader arrived in Dashoguz airport where he was given a cordial welcome from the heads of local authorities, mullahs and the elders of the velayat. In the airport building Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov held a brief meeting on further economic and social development of the Dashoguz velayat with members of the Cabinet of Ministers, Mejlis, military and law enforcement officers. Then the President went by car to the new mill.

Construction of the new 10-hectare cotton spinning mill in Dashoguz came to $ 66,540 thousand, the building works were performed by the Turkish constructing company Cotam Enterprises LTD. The production capacity of the mill will make up 16,6 thousand tons per year, or 42 tons of cotton yarn daily. The new manufacture will employ 500 people. Opening of the new cotton spinning mill will help to increase export of textile products and further the development of Turkmen textile industry.

The workshops of the new mill are fitted out with the most modern equipment of known brands such as "Savio", "Loptex" and "Marzoli". Besides, there are comfortable administration offices, a 150-seats dining room and 2 cottages for 16 families on the territory of the complex.

After the opening ceremony came to an end, President of Turkmenistan took off in plain for the UAE to pay a two-day official visit to the friendly country.
