ASHKHABAT, 13 February - IP "TURKMENinform". On February 11-12 the Turkmen National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under President of Turkmenistan (TNIDHR) in Ashkhabad hosted a rountable on aspects of legal regulation of activities of mass-media in European and the CIS countries organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, TNIDHR and the British Embassy in Turkmenistan.

The BBC representatives and international experts from Russia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan made a presentation and held lectures on basic principles of media activities, the fundamentals of legal regulation in the field of tele- and radiobroadcasting, print and electronic media before Turkmen journalists, representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Culture and teleradiobroadcasting, Mejlis, Magtumguly Turkmen State University, Institute of Foreign Affairs, TNIDHR and the Institute of State and Law under President of Turkmenistan.
